Sometimes the brilliance of the Internet just makes you shake your head.
Case in point: The good folks at BobbleHouse have created a BobbleEnactment (a.k.a. bobblehead version) of this week’s wild Nationals-Giants brawl.
If nothing else, the BobbleEnactment offers a break from the seemingly endless video loop of Monday’s fight that resulted in suspensions for Bryce Harper and Hunter Strickland.
Oh, and the best part: the Buster Posey bobblehead remaining at home plate while the bobble Harper, bobble Strickland, et al., mix it up.
Maybe it’s appropriate that Tebow’s improbable baseball journey started here, in the middle of the Palmetto State. This area is familiar with long odds.
Colonial Life Arena, home of the University of South Carolina basketball team, is just 1.7 miles from where Tebow is doing pregame base-running drills with his Fireflies teammates. We all know what coach Frank Martin’s Gamecocks did this spring, stunning pretty much the entire college basketball-watching world with their shocking run to the Final Four as a No. 7 seed. Martin was actually at the ballpark a couple of weeks ago; he threw out the first pitch before the game that ended with Tebow scoring the walk-off run in the bottom of the ninth.
